Let’s rethink the way we build

Software development has come a long way in the past decade, so why are our tools still stuck in the past?

How it started

For years, we felt the same frustration many teams do: building software as talented individuals, but not always as a truly connected team.

Work moved through handoffs between disciplines, and the tools we used often created more division than cohesion.

So we started Atono to challenge that status quo – and bring us back to something simple and true: people build better software together.

Where we are now

Right now, we’re focused on building the product and learning from the teams using it.

We’re still shaping the right message and the right experience – experimenting often and paying close attention to what resonates.

It’s a lot of iteration, a lot of learning, and doing our best to enjoy the process along the way.

What’s next

Challenging the status quo isn’t easy. But we believe the best software is built by teams, not individuals.

Our big, hairy, audacious goal is to become the most widely used platform to plan, build, run, and support software.

Will we get there? We’re working hard to make sure we do.
